On May 24th, 2013, the Prince George RCMP received a report of a sexual assault that had occurred at approximately 6:00 a.m. on May 23rd, 2013 in the Pinewood area of the city.

The adult female victim was jogging alone on Ospika Boulevard when she was approached by a lone male on a bicycle. After circling around several times, the man rode past the victim and inappropriately touched her. She yelled and he departed the area on his bike.

The male suspect is described as:

  • First Nations
  • 20-25 years old 
  • 5’6 
  • Obese 
  • Short (buzz cut) dark hair 
  • "Peach fuzz" moustache

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black zip-up sweatshirt and black sweatpants, and riding a black and white mountain bike.

The Prince George RCMP are urging members of the public, especially women, to be extra vigilant while walking or jogging in this area of our community.

For your safety:

  • Walk in pairs or groups;
  • Be aware of your surroundings; and
  • Carry a cell phone in order to immediately call 9-1-1.
