Eight Arrested in Drug Trafficking Investigation

Charges are likely following an investigation into drug trafficking at a residence in Prince George.
At approximately 10:20 PM on Friday January 13th, 2017, the Prince George RCMP’s Street Crew Unit stopped a vehicle on 15th Avenue near Nicholson Street. Two adult males were arrested and a quantity of cocaine was seized.
As a result of this traffic stop, the Street Crew Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant on a residence in the 300 block of Moffat Street during the early morning hours of Saturday January 14th, 2017.
Inside the residence police arrested two adult males and four adult females. During the search, officers located and seized significant quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin and prescription pills, as well as drug trafficking paraphernalia and cash.
Of the eight persons arrested, a 40 year old male & a 32 year old female have been remanded in custody and will likely appear in Provincial Court later today. A 31 year old female was released on a Promise to Appear for court on March 15th, 2017, and a 65 year old male was released without charge, but may be summoned to court at a later date. The four others were released without charge.
The investigation is continuing.
